Scenario plan · Jeton Express
A boutique weighs a small organiser trial
An independent homeware shop wants to compare a small trial of ceramic desk organisers with a mixed selection. The proposed cost review shows how quantities, protective packing and the buyer’s logistics and selling fees affect the decision.
These scenarios are plans for discussing a future purchase. They do not report completed customer orders.
A small trial order you can cost
The buying situation
In this scenario, a boutique has candidate desk organisers but has not decided which designs or quantities to test. Supplier minimums, mixed-order conditions and protective packing may change the cost, so the buyer needs comparable assumptions before choosing a trial basket.
Proposed approach
- Set out the candidate designs, possible trial quantities and supplier mixed-order conditions, retaining the minimums and packaging assumptions against the offer they came from.
- Build cost scenarios using the buyer’s logistics quotation, packing requirements and selling-channel fees, and mark missing charges rather than treating them as included costs.
- Show how the proposed basket changes when quantity or packing changes, then ask the buyer to confirm the assumptions and choose the next quotation requests.
Decision pack for approval
A proposed, recalculable trial-cost table with source references and unresolved charges. The buyer would decide which products and quantities to investigate further before placing an order.
Still to confirm
Quotation validity, final packing, mixed-order acceptance and the costs actually included. Sales and margins would still need a real trial.
